However, technology has delivered far greater benefits for crime prevention. Firstly, advanced surveillance tools such as CCTV with facial recognition, GPS tracking, and digital forensics make it much harder for offenders to avoid detection. For instance, widespread camera networks in cities like London have helped solve thousands of cases including thefts and violent assaults, acting as a powerful deterrent to potential criminals.
